I've covered ISU sports on some level for three-and-a-half years now, and there is one thing I always seem to take note of-there are always fun names.

So, I thought it would be fun to compile a list of some of the best names I have encountered or heard about in my time here. The "two first names" list:

Trent Miles, head football coach (2007-present)

Note: Miles can be either a first name or a last name, but for a jazz listener, it's a first name.

Sarah Paul, women's basketball (2006-present) Carl Richard, men's basketball (2008-present) Adam Arnold, men's basketball (2005-08)

Note: Yes, you can have your Tom Arnold and Benedict Arnold, but Arnold is a perfectly fine first name.

Brian Oliver, baseball (2008-present) Ryan Patrick, football (2007-present)

The "fun names to say and write" list: Mpiloenhle Migogo, men's tennis (2006-present)

Note: Yes, the tennis teams do a lot of recruiting overseas and I am not mocking that at all, I just enjoy saying these names. I think the only thing more fun than saying "Pee-low" is the intensity with which he plays.

Mick Yelovich, men's basketball (2004-08)

Konstantinos Tzirtziris, men's cross country (2008-present) Note: There isn't a much manlier name than this one.

Calvin Schmidtke, football (2008-present) Kelsea Ice, women's golf (2006-present) Fadzai Masiyazi, women's tennis (2005-08)

The "I've seen that name before" list:

Aaron Carter, men's basketball (2007-present) Note: I think I may have created this category just for Carter. C'mon, everybody knows Aaron Carter, the little kid who rapped about partying and such. I'm willing to bet ISU's Carter could beat the Hollywood Carter in basketball, though.

Joe Meggs, baseball (2009 is first season) Note: He's head coach Lindsay Meggs' son, qualifying him for this list.

Koby Kraemer, baseball and football (2008-present) Note: He's a two-sport athlete.

Leah Phillips and Angela Phillips, women's basketball (Angela: 2006-08; Leah: 2005-present) Note: It was always fun listening to the announcer going "Phillips…Leah Phillips" or "Phillips…Angela Phillips." And, no, they are not related.
