Although Janae Buckner, a freshman accounting major, does not have a car, she still feels the frustration of parking when arriving back from off-campus trips.
Parking at ISU should be available all the time due to the price for a parking permit, she said.
According to the ISU Web site, the cost for a student parking permit for this semester is $49.70.
Michael Scott Jr., a junior political science and social studies education major and president of Student Government Association, is meeting next week with three other students to discuss the arising parking issue.
SGA has recently been accumulating complaints and possible solutions to the parking problems.
"We have had every possible solution to the problem," Scott said. "Someone even suggested a parking garage in front of Blumberg Hall."
The group plans to look into the same issue and possible solutions other universities have done in the past when confronted with a parking issue.
Emmalee Shover, a freshman Japanese major at Indiana University, has to park her car at the university stadium when she is at school.
"It is hard for students," she said. "But, it keeps the campus more organized." "Hopefully by fall 2009, we [ISU] will have something in place," he said.
Scott brought up the idea of having different classes parking in different areas.
"Right now, parking is just not convenient," he said.
