The largest ever amount of students, 960, attended the annual Fall Career Fair Wednesday.
Many people were trying to find a job, either for after graduation or getting a head start.
David Walters, a sophomore insurance risk management major, said before applying for a job or an internship, students must prepare a resume and business cards, as well as doing some research on the Internet before asking questions.
"Because the employer might already start to consider whether to accept you, and also the appearance you look. Such as wear a formal dress or suit, may affect their first view of you "Walters said.
Lorraine Robinson, a sophomore nursing major, attended the fair but said she didn't find much in the way of part-time jobs.
"Part-time jobs are rarely at the career fair; most of them were seeking full-time [employees] or interns," she said.
Kelsey Powell, a sophomore marketing major, said "This year's fall career fair is better than last year."
She met a lot of people and talked with them. She had done an internship last year, and this year she is applying for another internship in marketing.
Elonda Ervin, associate director for Experiential Learning in the Career Center, said this year was the most successful career fair in past five years.
"Most of students are dressed well and really professional, and have done a lot of preparation," she said. "The participation is pretty impressive."
