Q: What do you think your role is on this team and how do you fit into the offense so well?
A:  I think my role is to just get in and provide energy by playing hard, hitting open shots, and doing whatever else the teams needs me to do. I just try to fit into the offense by not forcing things too much and taking shots when they are there and creating plays for other people.

Q:  How do you seem to fall in the right place at the right time for the rebounds?
A:  With rebounding, I just try to go crash the boards every time and eventually you will get some balls that come to you. It's basically just effort and consistently going to the glass.

Q:  Next year you'll be a senior with Jake Kelly, Brant Leitnaker and Isiah Martin. What are you doing to prepare for that, and how do you think you'll handle it?
A:   It's crazy to think that we will be seniors next year. I'm concentrated on this season right now but I'm excited about how good we can be next year as well. It would be nice to have a good senior year. I'll start preparing for my senior season as soon as this year is over. There are some things I need to improve so I can have the type of senior year that I would like to have.

Q:  What did you think of  (Assistant coach) Deryl Cunningham's blue blazer at the SIU game last week?
A:  I think DC's blue blazer was legit. It was probably a little too flashy for me, but he pulled it off nicely. There was even some talk in the locker room claiming DC to be the African American version of Bruce Pearl.

Q:  Which uniform do you like best?
A:  I don't really have a preference. When we first got our baby blue uniforms I was infatuated with them, but their allure has kind of worn off over time. I call it a three way tie, but if you put a gun to my head I would probably pick our away jerseys.

Q:  Do people ask if you are related to or if you know Nick and Aaron Carter? Can you beat Shaq like Aaron can?
A: Yeah I have heard about since little league.Opposing cheering sections always have something to say. But I actually have a cousin whose name is Nick Carter. And yes, I get asked if and how I beat Shaq.  Sometimes I will go into elaborate detail about how I actually beat him when people ask me about it.
