Sycamores look for more success over weekend

The Sycamores look to stay hot as they head into the Memphis Invitational to take on four more opponents this weekend. "We're seeing things we work on in practice transfer over to the games and that gives the girls a lot of confidence I think," head coach Traci Dahl said.

Sycamore soccer to face Crusaders this weekend at home

Indiana State women's soccer will be experiencing a scenery change this weekend a it returns to action at the ISU Soccer Complex, after being on the sandy beaches of Florida. On Sunday, the Sycamores (1-3-0) will battle the Crusaders of Valparaiso University (2-1-0) in a non-conference game at 2 p.

Sycamores to host NCAA cross country meet again in 2009

The LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course is getting recognized again as it was named the spot for the 2009 NCAA Cross Chountry Championship. Terre Haute has hosted the even seven out of the last eight years including the 2008 event. The course was men's cross country coach John McNichols's dream when he designed it and opened it in 1997.

After spending most of her life in sunny California, new head coach Traci Dahl is enjoying first year as the Sycamore volleyball coach. After her playing days at Long Beach State University, Dahl was a teacher and coach at Downey High School in Downey California for seven years.

My trip last week to Ypsilanti (Ann Arbor's landfill), Mich. to cover the first game in the Trent Miles regime was one of excitement, disappointment and otherwise confusion. The game took place on a beautiful night in August with a formidable crowd on hand to witness the one-sided onslaught of the Eastern Michigan Eagles romping the Sycamores.
