The LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course is getting recognized again as it was named the spot for the 2009 NCAA Cross Chountry Championship. Terre Haute has hosted the even seven out of the last eight years including the 2008 event.
The course was men's cross country coach John McNichols's dream when he designed it and opened it in 1997.

After spending most of her life in sunny California, new head coach Traci Dahl is enjoying first year as the Sycamore volleyball coach. After her playing days at Long Beach State University, Dahl was a teacher and coach at Downey High School in Downey California for seven years.
Lack of quit in players a good sign for young Sycamore team

My trip last week to Ypsilanti (Ann Arbor's landfill), Mich. to cover the first game in the Trent Miles regime was one of excitement, disappointment and otherwise confusion.
The game took place on a beautiful night in August with a formidable crowd on hand to witness the one-sided onslaught of the Eastern Michigan Eagles romping the Sycamores.
