The Sycamores look to stay hot as they head into the Memphis Invitational to take on four more opponents this weekend.

"We're seeing things we work on in practice transfer over to the games and that gives the girls a lot of confidence I think," head coach Traci Dahl said. "They are starting to get more and more competitive in practice and that helps keep it from getting repetitive and it helps drive the girls to get better."

The Sycamores will start the tournament off today against Troy University at 9 a.m. then take on Iona College at 4:30 p.m.

Saturday's action starts of at 11:30 a.m. when the Sycamores take the court against Memphis then they finish the four game tournament against IUPUI at 4:30 p.m.

"Because of the way last year finished up every win we get is going to be considered an upset," Dahl said. "We didn't schedule any teams that were below us in the final rankings last year, and I think that puts the girls in a good position because they know they have to perform every night."

Dahl also said, "All the teams in the tournament are good teams so if we're going to be successful this weekend we need to get good serves and we need to pass effectively."

Individual Sycamores looking to keep up their impressive season numbers are junior Jodi Stoker, junior Whitney Fromm, and senior Kristy Cox.

Stoker is tenth in the Missouri Valley Conference in kills with 55, while Fromm is sixth in the conference in assists with 185 and Cox is fourth in the conference in digs with 93.

After this weekend's tournament the Sycamores will continue playing on the road with their next home match scheduled for September 26 when they take on conference opponent Bradley University.
