Long-distance relationships are not an uncommon topic to the college-attending young adult.

Many people still have relationships that started in high school or ones where couples attend different colleges.

Everyone knows that long-distance relationships take a lot of work, but how is it that we judge how much ours may need?
Relationships take communication and balance, whether they are near or far.

Step 1.
What you send is more important than how you send it. To spice up long distance relationships, use handmade paper, unique or funny cards, collages or other creative mediums.

Step 2.
Letters can be boring and time sensitive. Don't send a your daily story via snail mail.
Many times when faced with something new or unfamiliar we are mostly critical and judgmental based on the little or no information we possess.

Why are we so prideful and condemning despite our awareness of how little we know?

Most of us (and all of us should) acknowledge that we are not the slightest ounce near to being perfect, yet when we observe or experience something that is beyond our understanding and rationale, we quickly deem it strange, bizarre or awkward.
The vice-presidential candidates faced unique challenges during their only debate Thursday night.

Sen. Joe Biden was expected to keep his confidence in check so he would not appear sexist or condescending toward Gov. Sarah Palin.
He seemed to have succeeded in that task, treating her with respect and addressing her as "Governor.
